En los tres cuerpos que componen el escudo se puede leer “CARBAXOS” en el superior, y “BALCARCES” y “S.TALLAS” en los inferiores, acompañados de las representaciones de dichos apellidos, de arriba a abajo: un hombre armado con dos perros encadenados a un árbol, cinco rallas verticales y un hombre armado en un castillo acompañado de otro combatiendo a un león.
